Details of 50th Celebration, Tour and More Revealed in Shelby Annual

LAS VEGAS – Oct. 31, 2011 – Executives with Shelby American Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI:PK) today announced the launch of the Shelby American 50th anniversary celebration with a national tour, major events, memorabilia and the latest edition of the Shelby Annual publication. The year-long salute in 2012 will commemorate when Carroll Shelby founded Shelby American in 1962, with many of the upcoming highlights featured in the Shelby Annual.

“Since Carroll created the first Cobra and founded his company in 1962, the Shelby name has become the cornerstone of high performance,” said John Luft, president of Shelby American. “We’ve planned a whirl-wind tour across the United States, much like the original Shelby Caravan in the mid-1960s. It will celebrate this incredible 50 year milestone with anniversary merchandise, collectibles, and give the public a first glimpse at our limited edition 50th Anniversary Shelby vehicles.”

The 2012 tour plan is featured in the new Shelby publication, which stretches from Arizona, to Detroit, Florida, New York and California and all points in between,. The Annual is devoted to Shelby’s history and achievements with insightful articles on historic and current subjects. The 50th anniversary edition features exclusive images and stories about the legendary Cobra, Shelby GT350, racing history and GT500 Super Snake, as well as a salute to 50 years of automotive excellence.

“The Shelby Annual was initially designed as a one-time publication to connect the history of Shelby with the excitement of the company today,” added Luft. “The Annual proved so popular that it’s returning for a fifth consecutive year. Since it commemorates Shelby American’s golden anniversary, some believe this edition is destined to achieve the same collector status as the cars we manufacture.”

The Annual is published under Source Interlink Media, with editorial and layout by Donald Farr, editor of Mustang Monthly. Farr created a team of journalists who have penned pieces for outlets, such as Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Octane, the Robb Report, 5.0, Mustang Monthly and Mustang Milestones.
